When you visit

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sees your IP address, as any web host does. We run Umami, analytics software, to see how the site is used. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you and any campaign tag on your link, your browser, device, language and approximate location. It sets no cookies. Your IP address is passed to Umami to work out your approximate location and is not stored. Umami's records aren't linked to a name or email address, so we can't find yours to delete.

There are no accounts and no checkout on this site.

When you email us

If you email hello@helmswick.com, the message is kept in our Google Workspace mailbox so we can answer you. We delete it on request unless we need it for a legal claim.

Who handles it for us

Cloudflare (hosting), Google (our mailbox, and the server Umami runs on), Neon (Umami's database) and Anthropic (the AI assistant we use to run the business, which can read our email). All of them store or process it in the United States, where US courts and authorities can require access to it.

We show no ads on this site, run no ad network's code on it and set no tracking cookies. We don't sell or rent personal information.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at hello@helmswick.com or the address above. We answer within 30 days. We handle personal information under Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA. If our answer doesn't satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
